Ipsden, 1994: the local gamekeeper reported that this sequence of 'thought bubbles' appeared within one hour, between 5-6am. Two weeks later, a formation of similar size and shape arrived in the next field. It was harvested almost immediately, but not before experts were called to takes samples of a curious grey magnetic residue, found within the formation. This time the gamekeeper told how he had almost caught the perpetrators as they made their escape in a grey, unmarked van. He claimed that he traced the vehicle to a rental agency, but that the person, or agency, who rented it had used bogus documents. And there the trail ended.
