Above: This small but well made formation was discovered in oil seed rape at Alton Barnes in Wiltshre on May 1st.
Above: The first significant UK formation of 2005 appeared on 17th April at Ripley, near Bournemouth in Dorset in the notoriously difficult to work with crop of oil seed rape. It's a relatively ambitious formation for this type of crop, a single circle with two standing ratcheted spiral arms inside.
