We knew that after we created a cereal portrait of UK television presenters Richard and Judy that it would not be too long before we were asked to create other large scale portraits. So, on the 13th June 2004 we headed for the beach at Saunton Sands in North Devon to create a sand drawing of three of UK television's best loved comedy characters, Del Boy, The Vicar of Dibley and Alan Partrige to promote UKTV's 'Summer nights of comedy' season.

The drawing measured 206ft x 113ft and took 13 circlemakers approx six hours to create, it's the most compex sand drawing we've been asked to create to date.
Above: The UKTV crew was our biggest crew to date, every one of them experienced circlemakers. We had over 100 years worth of circlemaking experience between us!
